Product-specific terms. These terms are written for Bible with Original Names. The Way Partners LLC may also maintain broader company terms for other products and services. If product-specific terms conflict with broader company terms for this app, these product-specific terms control for this app to the extent permitted by law.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Bible with Original Names (the “App” or “Reader”), you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If applicable law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, nothing in these Terms is intended to waive those rights.
2. The App and Reader
Bible with Original Names is a Bible-reading product that includes Scripture text, original-name presentation, search, reader settings, bookmarks, highlights, notes, sharing tools, pronunciation features, and related educational or project information. Features may change, improve, be corrected, or be discontinued over time.
The current App does not require a user account. Some features are designed to work offline, while verified translation updates, external links, sharing destinations, and certain optional services require an internet connection.
3. Personal-use license
Subject to these Terms, The Way Partners LLC grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended personal reading, study, note-taking, and sharing functionality.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or exploit the App, its software, or protected content except as allowed by law, by an applicable open-source license, by an express written permission, or by a feature intentionally provided in the App such as the share tools.
4. Scripture text, names, software, and intellectual property
The App contains Scripture text, translation/editing work, explanatory material, interface design, software, branding, graphics, and other content owned by or licensed to The Way Partners LLC or other rights holders. Copyright, trademark, license, and attribution notices remain in effect.
Scripture quotations identified as The Way Version of the Living Word / Bible with Original Names are subject to the applicable copyright and permissions notices presented with the work. Use of a share feature does not grant a broader publishing or commercial license.
Public source repositories or open-source components may be governed by their own licenses. Those licenses control for the material they cover.
5. Your bookmarks, highlights, and notes
You retain rights you already have in notes or other original material you create. The App currently stores the reading library locally rather than in a user account. You are responsible for exporting a backup before deleting the App, clearing app/browser storage, replacing a device, or taking another action that may remove local data.
We do not promise that local data can be recovered after it has been deleted or lost. The export/import tools are provided to help you maintain your own backup.
7. Translation and software updates
The Way Partners may publish corrections, verified translation updates, reader improvements, or new app versions. The App may check for verified translation updates when that setting is enabled. Updates can change wording, features, compatibility, or presentation.
We aim to preserve a dependable reading experience, but we do not guarantee that a particular version, feature, third-party integration, device, or operating-system version will be supported forever.
8. Third-party services
The App may use or link to third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, Mixpanel, GitHub, web/CDN infrastructure, device speech services, or services you choose through the system share sheet. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Third-party services are outside our direct control. We are not responsible for an external service's availability, content, security, or independent conduct, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use the App to violate applicable law or another person's rights; interfere with or attempt unauthorized access to systems; introduce malicious code; evade technical safeguards; use automated means in a way that materially burdens the service; impersonate another person or entity; or use the App in a way that creates material security, legal, or operational risk.
10. Informational and religious content; disclaimers
Bible with Original Names is provided for reading, study, education, discussion, and related personal use. Translation choices, notes, articles, historical or linguistic explanations, and other project material may reflect editorial judgments and may be revised as the project develops.
The App is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, mental-health, or other licensed professional advice. Religious, pastoral, or doctrinal questions may reasonably be understood differently by different readers, traditions, scholars, and communities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free text or software, permanent availability of every feature, or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these statements may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Way Partners LLC and its affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from or related to use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12. Apple App Store and Google Play
If you obtain the App through Apple or Google, your use is also subject to the applicable store's terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for support we are obligated to provide for the App except as their own terms require. For app-specific support, contact support@twpventures.com.
These Terms are between you and The Way Partners LLC, not Apple or Google, except that store providers and their subsidiaries may have rights expressly granted to them by applicable store terms or law.
13. Ending use
You may stop using the App at any time and may uninstall it from your device. We may limit access to online components when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or material violation of these Terms. Local offline content already installed may behave differently depending on the platform and app version.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App changes or legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated version at this URL and change the effective date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
